Product Description
Floral structures are the in-thing. They make a base for decoration and can be used over and over again. Gil Boyard and Muriel le Couls, both Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France), designed structures for tables, buffets and halls. Firstly they elaborately present the structure in situ. Afterwards they decorate them in three completely different ways, in order to demonstrate the countless possibilities for re-use. This book is brimming with creative ideas. Text in English and French.

2 out of 5 stars It's OK   November 4, 2008

Just got the book today and quickly skimmed through it. It's not what i was expecting maybe because my expectation was raised so high based upon after reading the other reviews here. As a professional floral designer, i thinks it's just OK. There are a few inspirations in it but it's not as good as books like "Paris Floral Interiors" or "Meisterflorist" by Gilles Pothier. His books are much more impressive.

I was hoping for pictures of the mechanics of the floral arrangements in the book. I could not figure out how water was given to the flowers. Sorry

5 out of 5 stars Truly an art book   May 29, 2008

For art lovers, especially those who appreciate contemporary sculpture, this book is a stunner. As a floral designer, I found it fun and inspiring (and a bit humbling.)

I highly recommend it to flower lovers--you will never look at flowers the same way, and to all who just appreciate great art--ephemeral though it may be. This is a visual concert recorded for your eyes.

5 out of 5 stars Beyond the container!   January 7, 2008

This book is a reminder that a container does not look like the items you can buy in a store. We can create containers that look like nothing else available, to bring out of ourselves the imaginative designs that the best of our profession create. This book can take your designs to the next level!
